I could not close the drapes . It was difficult to rest after being at the hospital all night with a sick child.
It was clean and very nice inside the rooms
It was a part of a hospital and anytime you were not in the hotel room it was just like a hospital the booking site never mentioned it
I did not like the entrance to the hotel. It was very confusing to find the hotel entrance.
I really like how the room was set up and the color. The color is exotic and it looked like a zebra. The room was very nice and clean. I loved the location. The room was very modern. It was very low key, I would stay there again.
I think the price was a little high. The cost of the room should have been lower.
excellent location-safe! Staff was very friendly, room was large and comfy, free parking that was covered and safe. I was traveling with my daughter and never worried about anything. My son lives in New Orleans and it was easy to get to his apartment off canal street.
The location to the hospital. Made doctor visits very convenient.
Our room did not have a coffee pot.
The hotel was amazing, beautifully decorated rooms that were quite big and clean! On the down side, the location is 30 dollars (15mins) away from the city by taxi, so it is really inconvenient.. We stayed there for one night and went straight from the airport which is not far at all. The staff were polite and helpful, and the fact that it is right next to the hospital did not bother us at all!!
Free wi fi, polite and helpfull staff.
No breakfast possible, no shuttle service to and from airport and city centre.
I feel in love with the rooms all the amenities the staff was great the only place I would stay @in New Orleans.
There was one very nice registration attendant who consoled us and was reassuring.
The first registration attendant, "Louis," was an absolute gluteus Maximus. The women who spoke up was of minimal assistance. Louis told me that they had not used Booked.net for weeks and implied that our confirmation number was not valid because, "that's their confirmation number, not ours." as if to say, it didn't matter that we had a reservation if it was not from him.
It was connected to the hospital so I could go and rest in-between scheduled visits and I didn't have to drive anywhere else at night.
The parking garage for free was nice, however the signage could use some tweeking both in the garage and in the hospital.
I had made reservations on line. There was no indication that I had received a discount. The rate was the same as in the past. I had just left the surgical unit when I checked and was still under the influence of anesthesia. The next morning when I checked out, I presented a discount coupon from the American Cancer Society. After a very long discussion with the staff they, finally accepted the coupon. Since my dignosis of cancer I have made many trips to New Orleans and have stayed at the Brent House multiple times. This dicussion was something I should not have had to deal with.
I am a patient at the hospital. We stay there for the convenience.
The hotel room was very very warm. Checked in around 8:30pm the air conditioner was shut off. Our room was on the 5th floor and never cooled off all night.
To be honest, I booked online without realizing this hotel is not just near a hospital but is actually a part of it. The pool does nothing to take away from the institutional feel of the place. The carpets was ere filthy and stained, and the bed covering was one of those cheap motel comforters. Seriously, a duvet makes all the difference in the world. To sum it up, unless you are staying here becauseof a hospitalized friend or family member, you will feel out of place, a bit uncomfortable, and mislead by the advertising.
The hotel was quiet and temperature was comfortable.
The external appearance is very sterile and does not look like a hotel, which makes it hard to find. This hotel is attached to a hospital. The atrium is shared with the hospital, so you may see patients. The bed was lumpy and I woke up sore. Vanity mirror had lots of fingerprints, which made us think the rest of the bathroom had not been thoroughly cleaned. After a quick look, we could've stayed in the French Quarter for less.
